About Birmingham
Birmingham, in the West Midlands, is a very centrally located city in the UK that benefits from a great transport network. Project management training in Birmingham is a perfect choice and the city is, of course, well known for being the home of Cadbury World, The Bullring Shopping centre and as a manufacturing powerhouse.
Transport
Centrally located in the middle of the UK, you would imagine that Birmingham would be easy to get to and you would be right. The city is home to Birmingham Airport (formerly Birmingham International Airport), this is located just a few miles from the city centre and linked by the free-to-use monorail system to Birmingham International Station. The station itself offers links to stations all over the country with regular trains to Glasgow, Manchester and London to name just a few of the larger destinations.
Birmingham is at the heart of the UK motorway network and linked by the M5, M6, M40 and M42. The M1 is just 30 minutes away and the M6 Toll Road also offers another popular travel solution. Birmingham is also home to Spaghetti Junction. Sometimes referred to as Gravelly Hill Interchange, this is one “attraction” many visitors to the area prefer to avoid.
The city centre itself has a very good bus, tram and train network making it easy to get around. Walking and cycling around the city centre are also popular.
Accommodation is an important consideration when attending a project management training course and a well located hotel will allow you to get the rest you need in order to give your full attention to the training sessions.
