We are seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Associate Project Management Trainer to join our growing team. If you are an experienced project management professional with a passion for helping others develop their skills, we’d love to hear from you.
As an Associate Project Management Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical project management training to individuals and corporate clients, both in a virtual and face-to-face classroom environment. You will help learners develop the knowledge and competencies required to manage projects successfully, aligned to the Association for Project Management’s (APM) suite of internationally-recognised qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Deliver high-quality training sessions, workshops, and coaching both virtually and in-person.
· Facilitate interactive learning experiences using real-world project management scenarios.
· Manage the classroom/virtual learning environment, ensuring a productive and engaging experience.
· Support learners in achieving industry-recognised certifications, such as APM PFQ, PMQ, PPQ, and Project Risk Management.
· Create bespoke training content to suit different audience needs and industry sectors.
· Provide guidance, mentoring, and assessment to support learner progress.
· Assist in the evaluation of training effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
· Contribute to the development and refinement of training content.
· Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in project management.
Essential Requirements:
· Proven professional experience in project management (minimum 3-5 years).
· Strong technical knowledge of project management best practice.
· Relevant certifications (e.g. PMQ, PPQ) and/or Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) status.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with learners of different backgrounds and experience levels.
· Ability to facilitate group discussions and encourage active participation.
· Proficiency in using presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint) and virtual training platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams).
· Willingness to travel to client site for in-person training (when applicable).
Desirable Requirements:
· Experience of delivering the APM PFQ, PMQ and/or PPQ qualification courses. Parallel is happy to ‘Train the Trainer’ if you do not have previous experience of delivering these courses.
· Project Management experience in the following sectors: oil and gas, energy, construction, infrastructure and rail.
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management).
· Membership of the Association for Project Management (MAPM/FAPM).
Location(s): Remote working for virtual training delivery and travel to client sites for face-to-face training (mainly UK with some European travel).
